The SVL M variable speed fluid coupling features a design with self-supporting bearing assemblies and high power density. The input and output shafts are separately enclosed within a cast iron housing. Flexible couplings transmit torque between the drive motor and the driven machine through the variable speed fluid coupling.
The oil reservoir is bolted to the base of the housing. The coupling is equipped with two independent oil circuits: an operating oil circuit and a lubricating oil circuit.
Both circuits are fitted with mechanically driven pumps. An energy-efficient flow control valve regulates the circulation of the oil. The shafts are equipped with sleeve bearings, which are force-lubricated with pressurized oil to ensure reliable operation under demanding conditions.
